This was a scroll blank I made for the East Kingdom's Arts and Sciences award, the Order of the Maunche. It was started in February of 2001 and interrupted by my wedding preparations, and finally finished in October 2001.
The illumination was inspired by the Buckland Missal, Bodleian MS Don. b. 5, folio 250 recto. The hand is gothic; I'm pretty pleased with the calligraphy on this one. If only I could manage that every time!
