This scroll was created for Lady Jeannette of Bhakail's Award of Arms. Jeannette is a good friend of our household, and camps with us at Pennsic and other events, so when I was asked to do her scroll, I was delighted. It also turned out on further research that she had a device passed, so I was able to paint it in properly as well. (If only I'd planned the placement of the fleurs better — but hindsight is 20/20.) The initial "Q" was inspired by Bodleian MS Don. a. 11, folio 19 verso, as in a prior scroll that resides in my portfolio; I took more creative liberties with this one, though.
