This scroll was created for Lord (Abbott) Frantz Tragen Sie Jager's Award of Arms, which was awarded in 1998 but was given with no scroll. I volunteered to create the scroll to help empty the kingdom's backlog. Frantz is a friend of the family so I was able to put in a couple personal features that aren't quite period. The illuminated initial was based on an image on a reliquary; the vestments are red, as is proper for a feast of a martyr. The border decorations include his favorite barnyard animal, a cow (based on an archangel from a period manuscript), and the bottom two roundels contain a Latin version of his present motto.
